Syed Naqvi, MD
Prior to co-founding IPHA with Dr. Khan, Dr. Naqvi was a hospitalist physician leader with Sound Physicians and worked in the hospitalist medicine program at North Central Baptist Hospital from October, 2011 to January, 2016.
Dr. Naqvi graduated from medical school at the Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1992. He then did two internships, one in Cardiology and the other in Surgery, at the Dow Medical College before doing a one-year residency in cardiology at Taj Medical Complex in Karachi. Dr. Khan served one year as a resident in Pathology at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, before completing his Residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY in 1999.
Between 1999 and 2006, Dr. Naqvi worked as a hospitalist at two different hospitals in Michigan. He then spent two years as an Assistant Professor of Hospitalist Medicine at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas before becoming an Instructor in the department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Baptist Medical Center, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina until 2011.
